FASEB

The Lung Epithelium in Health and Disease (July 29-Aug 3) employs a highly interactive platform for senior and junior scientists with expertise in biology, disease models and techniques. Topics of special interest this year are airway development, stem cells and regeneration, cell-cell interactions that orchestrate injury response and repair, and impact of the newest tools on lung biology research.

On Day 3 Tuesday July 31, LungMAP principal investigator Jeffrey Whitsett from  Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center will present his talk entitled “Using Complementary Technologies to Uncover Cell Specific Roles in Complex Lung Disease,” as well as co-leading a workshop with Finn Hawkins (BUSM) and Christine Brainson (U Kentucky) on “Negotiating a Faculty Position and Starting a Lab.”
